Prof. Dr. med. Philipp Niemeyer, Sektionsleiter Knie- und Knorpelchirurgie an der Klinik für Orthopädie und Unfallchirurgie des Universitätsklinikums Freiburg und Operateur an der Orthopädischen Chirurgie München (OCM), hat langjährige Erfahrung als Prüfarzt sowie als Studienleiter. Er ist Author von mehr als 150 Publikationen in nationalen und internationalen Fachzeitschriften zu unterschiedlichen wissenschaftlichen Themen im Bereich der Orthopädie und Unfallchirurgie. In Kooperation mit der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Orthopädie und Unfallchirurgie (DGOU) ist er an der Etablierung einer multizentrischen Datenbank zur Erfassung von Behandlungsergebnissen nach knorpelregenerativen operativen Eingriffen beteiligt (KnorpelRegister DGOU) und Mitinitiator des Deutschsprachigen Arthroskopieregister (DART). Neben seiner klinischen und wissenschaftlichen Tätigkeit gilt sein Interesse modernen Technologien und deren Nutzung sowohl im klinischen, als auch im wissenschaftlichen Kontext.
Martin Zens ist Arzt und Wirtschaftsingenieur und verfügt über eine 12-jährige Expertise in der Entwicklung webbasierter Softwarelösungen. Als selbstständiger Unternehmer hat Herr Zens zahlreiche IT-Projekte für Großkunden als Geschäftsführer und Projektmanager erfolgreich geleitet. Derzeit arbeitet Herr Dr. Zens als Arzt am Klinikum Augsburg und ist forschend weiterhin an der Klinik für Orthopädie und Unfallchirurgie des Universitätsklinikums Freiburg tätig. Herr Dr. Zens ist zertifizierter Prüfarzt (GCP), Lehrbeauftragter der Hochschule Furtwangen für das Fach „Informationstechnologie im Gesundheitswesen“ und Mitentwickler der ersten ResearchKit App („Back on Track“) in Deutschland.
